Create a custom configuration file for a game
Once the game is installed, it doesn’t work, since it must be launched from DOS ! This is where DOSBox comes : it’s the DOS-simulating-Box.
You may launch DOSBox as we did earlier and enter the command line stuff each time you want to start the game…
But you can also make the magic-auto-working-all-in-one-button
To achieve this, we need to create a file named dosbox.conf in the game folder (the folder where you installed it), for me it’s located in F:\RayFan (remember that path !).
First, go to the DOSBox folder and open the options (if there’s no dosbox.conf file, there must be something like DOSBox [version] Options.bat : launch it).
A text file appears, and you can save it directly in your game folder (so for example : F:\RayFan\dosbox.conf).
Nice blog, keep it going!
